The group exhibition 'Connected Horizons' opens at Gallery Mcube, Lalitphur in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal on 20th February, it includes a new photographic work by me made on the frozen sea in Helsinki.
During April 2025 I participated in the international residency programme at Gallery Mcube supported by an SKR (Suomen Kulttuurirahasto - Finnish Cultural Foundation) mobility grant.
The work about to be exhibited is created from an image made during a photography session in January 2024 on the frozen Baltic sea surrounding Helsinki with artist Noora Geagea behind the camera. Working with ideas of placement of the body in landscape, the undifferentiated expanse of sky and sea was defined only by the etched out tree lined horizon of the nearby Harakka island.
